Thank you for your support and patience as we navigated the significant changes in not only performing arts but the world as a whole. As you know, the very purpose of the arts is to bring people together in a combined immersive experience. For the safety and well-being of our audience members, performers and staff this became an impossible feat.
Therefore, due to the COVID19 pandemic, the Henderson Area Arts Alliance (HAAA) has made the heartbreaking decision to officially cancel the last two shows of the 19-20 Season. These shows include Dance Kaleidoscope’s performance of Music Men, originally scheduled for March 28th and The Color Purple, originally scheduled for April 30th. These two shows will not be rescheduled for the 20-21 Season.
The choice to put the importance of health and safety above ticket sales for our small nonprofit will have a significant financial impact for our organization but we feel it’s the best course of action for our community. We are especially appreciative of our generous patrons who will consider donating tickets which they purchased for these shows. Over the course of our history, the Henderson Area Arts Alliance has navigated challenges and continues to thrive because of the strength of the Western Kentucky community. Now as always, we are grateful for your extraordinary support.
Ticket Exchange or Donation Information
For your convenience we are providing the following four options for those who purchased tickets to the March 28th production of Music Men and/or the April 30th production of The Color Purple:
Option 1: Exchange your tickets to a production from the 2020-2021 season. (The exchange will equal the amount you paid for the 19-20 production so if the chosen show for the 20-21 season is a higher value we will discount the ticket and a balance will be owed. Any applicable exchange fees will be waived.)
Option 2: Exchange your tickets for a gift certificate of equal value, which can be used at any time within a year after issuance. (This gift certificate can also be used towards the purchase of a Season ticket package for the 20-21 HAAA Season.)
Option 3: Donate your tickets and receive a tax deduction for the total ticket value.
Option 4: Collect a refund on purchased tickets.
*A note to our season ticket holders: You may also choose any of the above options. We will calculate the value of these specific shows depending on the type of package you purchased for the 19-20 Season. Please contact us with any questions.
Please contact Grace Henderson by July 1, 2020 with your option choice by calling HAAA Box Office at 270.826.5916 during operating hours (M-Th 9:00AM – 4PM, F 9:00AM-12:00PM) or by email at grace.henderson@haaa.org.
We have exciting things planned for the 20-21 Season and we will see you when the curtains open again. Thank you for your never-ending support of the arts in Henderson!
