The Henderson Area Arts Alliance is excited to announce that the popular summer theatre residency for students K-12 will return to the Preston Arts Center this year.
HAAA will team up with Compass Creative Dramatics to present a weeklong residency featuring Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland. Compass Creative Dramatics partners with community organizations to offer quirky, engaging theatre programming designed to provide arts enrichment and cultivate personal growth and character.
This summer residency encourages students to take creative risks and trust without self-judgment, stretching their creativity as they develop social skills like teamwork, respect, and empathy through their exploration of theatre.
The free residency is open to students who have completed any grade, K-12 during the 2021-22 school year. Auditions will be held Monday, June 20 with the final performance on Saturday, June 25.
AUDITIONS K-12TH GRADE
Monday, June 20 • 9:00 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
No experience or preparation required
(Some actors cast in lead roles will be asked to stay for a Monday rehearsal 12:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m.)
REHEARSALS
Tuesday, June 21 – Friday, June 24 • 9:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
PERFORMANCE
Saturday, June 25 • 3:00 p.m.

Auditions, rehearsals and performance will be held at the Preston Arts Center, 2660 South Green Street in Henderson, KY.
