Join us for the Henderson Area Art Alliance’s first-ever Signature Season Bonus Show as we reunite four favorites from FOX’s American Idol for one night only. The show is set for Friday February 3 at 7:00 p.m. at the Preston Arts Center (formerly the Henderson Fine Arts Center).
Cast members performing are Kris Allen (Season 8), Janelle Arthur (Season 12), Melinda Doolittle (Season 6) and Joshua Ledet (Season 11). The artists will perform many of their solo hits that garnered their fame on the iconic show. The show is directed by Musical Director and Pianist, Michael Orland.
“I’m thrilled to kick-off my career with the Henderson Area Arts Alliance by showcasing such a talented group of artists at the beautiful Preston Arts Center,” said Alex Caudill, Executive Director of the Henderson Area Arts Alliance. “This show has something for everyone, no matter what genre of music you like. I hope you will join us as we kick off a great lineup of shows for 2017!”
American Idol first began airing on FOX on June 11, 2002, and ended on April 7, 2016. The successful television show, which had 15 seasons, launched the careers of many musical artists.
Michael Orand, who was the Pianist, Arranger, Vocal Coach and Associate Musical Director for American Idol, is excited to join the performers for the show.
“Looking forward to this fun show in Henderson with some of my favorite Idol pals,” Music Director Michael Orland said. “We’ll be re-creating some fun musical moments from Idol days, as well as showing off lots of new stuff we’ve been working on. And then a fun insight into the behind-the-scenes doings where the audience can ask questions to any of us.”
This show is sponsored by season presenting sponsor Field & Main Bank, Air Hydro Power and Subway.
Tickets are $40, $47 and $57 and available online at haaa.org or by calling the box office at 270-831-9800. The Preston Arts Center is located at the Henderson Community College campus at 2660 South Green Street in Henderson, Kentucky.
